Minister Pekcan gave information about the change in regulations and the system to be set up in his written statement.
Explaining that the regulation for the real estate sector was drawn up taking into account the opinions and input of representatives of the sector and relevant parties, Pekcan said, “We want to improve the quality of service in real estate activities, eliminate unfair competition and prevent informality.”
Pekcan stated that they want to ensure that real estate activities are conducted fairly, in a simple, fast and safe environment, and that the sector operates healthier by becoming more skilled.
2 MILLION 400 THOUSAND PROPERTIES WERE SOLD LAST YEAR
Pekcan found that there were approximately 2 million 400,000 home sales in the past year and the registered economic value of those sales was approximately TL 390 billion.
“Fifty percent of real estate sales in our country are through real estate companies, and there are more than 60,000 companies engaged in real estate activities. Clarifying that it is mandatory to include the Authorization Certificate number in all advertisements and use the company name or title in the Authorization Certificate, Pekcan stated the following:
“In real estate advertising, consumers are not given misleading information, such as incomplete or incorrect information about the property or incorrectly marking the location of the property on the map. On the other hand, the Ministry will impose fines on companies that fail to comply with these obligations.
