Turkish exports reach 187 countries
Turkish home textile exports reached one billion 441 million and 744 thousand US dollars to 187 countries, and the value of Turkey's exports of home furniture reached 2.9 billion dollars, while Turkish tea exports reached the markets and tables of 103 countries, and their revenues reached 10 million and 772 thousand dollars, during the first eight months of 2020.
According to the Uludag Exporters Union, Germany topped the Turkish textile importers with 282 million and 771 thousand dollars, followed by the United States with 169 million and 161 thousand dollars.
It is noteworthy that Turkey occupies a prominent place among the most exporting countries of textiles in the world, and its exports occupy an important position in European markets.
In a related context, Turkey rose six ranks in home furniture exports, to rank eighth in the world in 2019, after it was ranked fourteenth in 2018.
The Italian Centre for Industrial Studies, based in Milan has said in a report on the furniture industry in the world, that Turkey advanced six ranks to rank eighth in the world in furniture exports last year.
The report, published under the title "World Furniture Outlook 2020-2021," stated that the value of Turkey's home furniture exports reached $ 2.9 billion in 2019, moving from the fourteenth place in 2018 to the eighth.
Separately, Turkey exported tea worth $10.7 million to 103 countries around the world during the first eight months of the year.
Some 2,753 tons of tea was exported in the January-August period, an Anadolu Agency (AA) report published Monday said, citing data from the Eastern Black Sea Exporters Association (DKİB).
Tea exports have increased by 15% in quantity and 33% in value year-on-year.
